Our team implements controls to protect our customers and the earth throughout the life of the product through audits, investigations, and program reviews.This role focuses on safety and compliance policy and strategy. Do you have a passion for product safety Does helping to build a business by developing high level processes and innovative scalable solutions, while maintaining the highest standards for worldwide compliance, interest you Do you have a broad and deep understanding of compliance and regulatory affairs and want an opportunity to lead cross-functional business and development teams If so, you should join our team.Key job responsibilities.Support compliance requirements for product launch operations across the MENA region..Collaborate with teams within PBPSC to establish and implement processes to execute against established policies..Provide accurate product risk assessments and classifications for products to internal business units and outside service providers to ensure regulatory compliance with product safety regulations in MENA region..Work with Amazons internal technology teams to develop creative and best-in-class product compliance business processes that scale..Manage and resolve competing perspectives of stakeholders to drive conformity. Provide guidance to business and legal teams on product safety and compliance complexities.Collaborate with program managers on engagement plans with local and regional regulatory authorities on compliance and regulatory topics, law enforcement, requirements and recall processes.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS . At least 5 years of experience in program management or technical fields, preferably with a background working on large, complex initiatives and 2 years experience commensurate with extensive knowledge of handling imports and/or exports in accordance with foreign government regulations and extended product compliance and safety knowledge . Demonstrated business judgment as well as ability to think creatively, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize. . . High attention to detail and proven track record in taking ownership, driving results and moving with speed to implement ideas in a fast-paced online environment. . Strong oral and written communication skills, a bias for action and a proven ability to influence others. .. Bachelors degree. . Ability to clearly articulate concepts and strategy in writing to all levelsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS . Retail industry experience.. 7+ years experience managing Safety and Compliance in a large-scale retail or manufacturing environment.. Direct experience engaging with regulatory authorities, associations, or standards bodies. Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements..Experience with risk management, compliance or similar product initiatives preferred..Global logistics or supply chain experience is desirable.. Experience analyzing business problems using different tools (such as Microsoft Office, and statistical analysis) .
