Job Description

Greet and seat guests, providing accurate wait time, walk the customers to the designated seats in courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction. Hostess will also handle phone calls and customer inquiries about the restaurant and the menu.The ideal candidate should have solid organizational and people skills to ensure that guests have great dining experience.Restaurant experience is a must.To do well for this role, the ideal candidate should be comfortable standing for a long period and managing a very busy shift.Must possess a positive attitude and has the ability to work well under pressure.Responsibilities

  • Greet guests as they enter the restaurant, provide accurate wait time and take them to the designated seats
  • Manage waitlist of guests during busy meal service
  • Informs/notifies guests when table is ready
  • Provide guests with menu and answer initial questions
  • Handles phone calls and customer queries about the restaurant and menu
  • Assist other restaurant staff when necessary
  • Engage with guests to ensure they are happy with the food and service
  • Knowledgeable with the menu and the restaurant
  • Able to work in a busy restaurant environment
  • Assists in setting up and cleaning the restaurant during opening and/or closing shifts
  • Reports any problems or issues to the Restaurant Manager
  • Pays close attention to details and exhibits
  • Maintains professional but friendly character
  • Works well the team
  • Communicates clearly and effectively
  • Able to handle money accurately and operate POS system.
