Their primary role is to provide a range of entertainment activities to keep guest happy and entertained in the evenings and throughout the days.Must be a confident performer, who is capable of performing in front of, and engaging audiences in live-show activities. Lead and/or perform in Polynesian - themed shows following basic scripts and using improvisation during shows as needed.May involve performing basic dance routines and singing while dressed in a character costume. Will perform in character costume. Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in various activities. Promote a fun, energized and comfortable atmosphere for guests. Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities, including providing tours. Serve as Host for live events and activities. Explain and promote the rules and regulations of the facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests. Observe activity in the facility and respond appropriately in accordance with local operating procedure in the event of an emergency. Be aware of possible situations where guests are not able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisor/manager. Prepare for show and clean and maintain equipment and supplies. Must have demonstrated experience in previous roles performing the following: accurately and consistently portray the pre-determined style, characteristics and mannerisms of each role without any deviation; perform inside bulky, hot costumes for long periods of time; maintain size and weight requirements based on costume?s pre-determined size; work with large quantities of groups and children; stand for extended periods of time.
