Stantec is looking to hire a Resident Engineer for a sewage treatment plant in Dubai.Main Responsibilities:Responsible for reviewing the design proposals, work program, material submittals, method statements, shop drawings, payments, variation orders and claims etc.Effectively manage the site supervision staffs during construction & ensuring the works are being carried out according to the Contract specifications.Ensure monitoring on the quality of materials and workmanships installed, operated and maintained.Maintain the Resident Engineers daily diary and daily diaries and reports by his subordinates.Liaise with Client, Project Management and Contractor for resolution of project issues, in addition to concerned Authorities when required.Strong understanding of operation and control philosophies of surge protection devices, capable to review & approval of Contractor submittals for hydraulic studies & calculations, pumps, surge vessels, control valves.Supervise, review, monitor and report on progress.Ensure the site safety practicesPrepare weekly and monthly progress reportsFamiliarity with conditions of contract, quality assurance.Liaise with client, co-ordination with Governmental Organization and other Consultants/ContractorsConsistently adheres to and enforces internal Company processes and policies such as business and contracting rules.Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication and negotiating skills.Works in a manner to ensure personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.Qualifications- Resident Engineer must have 15 years of experience in infrastructure- Must have full and complete knowledge of the exciting sewage Treatment plants in Dubai and the Region.- Must have relevant degree from a recognized University- Must be able to take on the spot decisions and be able to deal with all Service Authorities- Must have thoughtful knowledge and experience in managing construction works of sewage Treatment plants and pumping station works of different disciplines.- Must have also knowledge and experience in the design of infrastructure works- Familiar with DM General Conditions of contract, quality assurance, quantity surveying aNd project network techniques.- Strong Computer skills in Microsoft word, excel, and Primavera P3.- Confident in his own ability to control the works.- Excellent written and communication skills (English) , time management and supervisory skills.- Demonstrated ability to prepare instructions, specifications , and reports cost estimates.- Ability to liaise with DM and other infrastructure Authorities.#LI-MiddleEast
