Job Description

Looking to identify a talented individual who will play a pivotal role in our clients organizations growth and development. This role will be working closely with the Financial Controller, taking responsibility for Group financial reporting. The role provides technical leadership to the Groups finance function and manages the year end and interim reporting process as well as the relationship with the Groups auditors.Client DetailsOur Client is focused on large scale, low cost, open pit mining. The Group produces significant volumes of other metals as by-products, including gold, silver, and zinc. They are currently searching for an experienced Reporting Manager to join their team.DescriptionResponsibility for drafting financial sections of annual and interim reports, and other reports/statementsManage the Groups compliance with IFRS and provide technical accounting leadership across its subsidiaries arising from new or changes to existing IFRS pronouncementsManage the Groups financial reporting requirements including those related to banking facilities and compliance with relevant regulations, including in the UAE and any applicable requirements issued by regulatorsSupport the year end and half year reporting process within the Group in co-ordination with Company Secretarial, Financial Planning and Analysis and TreasurySupport the financial reporting teams in international offices during the year end and half year and in the execution of projects during the yearManage the relationship with the Group auditors through managing the audit, reviewing and assessing communications, budgets and reporting deadlinesOversight of Group and subsidiary accounting issues and the resolution of accounting and taxation issues for Group reporting purposesDraft papers on financial, accounting and tax issues affecting the Group, including for the Audit Committee and BoardProvide accounting and finance input to Group projects (e.g. take or pay nuclear power contracts, hedge accounting, business combinations) and the Groups Financial Planning and Analysis teamAssist the Group Tax Manager in the preparation of tax papersReview entity IFRS statutory accounts across the Groups operationsManage the Groups multi-currency consolidation system and manage the Group journals in the consolidation systemManage and design control processes relating to financial reportingPrepare monthly finance reportsProvide support to the Finance function and to carry out such duties, and take on additional responsibilities, as may be agreed from time to time with the Financial Controller DMCCProfileQualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or overseas equivalent preferred) with 3 years+ post qualified experience with strong, up to date, accounting and financial technical skills.Experience of auditing or preparing multi-currency complex group consolidations.Track record of understanding, assessing and implementing new accounting developments.Ability to critically review data and information and identify potential issues and contribute to commercially driven solutions.Experience in effective communication and managing relationships with foreign subsidiaries / group companies in a collaborative manner.OneStream consolidation or other similar system experience an advantage.Job OfferCompetitive salary and benefits packageWorking with the Finance Management at a group levelOpportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
