Job Description

Project Director ? Renewable Energy (Wind & Solar)Location: GCCIndustry: Renewable Energy (Wind & Solar)Job Summary:We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead the successful execution of large-scale Wind and Solar energy projects (500MW+) in the GCC region. The ideal candidate will oversee project planning, execution, and delivery while ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and financial requirements. The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder management skills to drive projects from inception to completion.Key Responsibilities:1. Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead and manage the full project lifecycle from development to commissioning.
  • Define project strategy, timelines, and execution plans to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Oversee engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) processes, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental policies, and industry best practices.
2. Stakeholder & Client Management
  • Act as the key point of contact for clients, investors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure seamless communication between internal teams, external partners, and government authorities.
3. Financial & Contractual Oversight
  • Oversee project budgets, cash flows, and financial performance.
  • Ensure effective contract management and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with finance teams to optimize project funding and cost efficiency.
4. Team & Resource Management
  • Build and lead high-performing project teams, including technical, commercial, and operational staff.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adequate resourcing and competency development for project execution.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Experience:15+ years of experience in Renewable Energy (Wind & Solar) project development and execution.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale projects (500MW+), preferably in the GCC region.
  • Strong background in EPC project execution, contract management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Skills:Expertise in project planning, financial management, and risk mitigation.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with GCC energy regulations, permitting processes, and grid connection requirements.
  • Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and deliver under tight deadlines.
