Project Controls Manager ? Renewable Energy (Wind & Solar)Location: GCCIndustry: Renewable Energy (Wind & Solar)Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to oversee the planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management of large-scale Wind & Solar projects (500MW+) in the GCC region. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in EPC project execution, Primavera (P6), Earned Value Management (EVM), and financial forecasting within the renewable energy sector.Key Responsibilities:1. Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain the Master Project Schedule using Primavera P6/MS Project.
  • Work closely with project teams, EPC contractors, and stakeholders to align project timelines and milestones.
  • Identify critical path activities and ensure proactive mitigation of potential delays.
2. Cost Control & Budget Management
  • Establish and monitor project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts.
  • Implement cost control measures to ensure financial efficiency and prevent overruns.
  • Track and report earned value analysis (EVA), cost performance index (CPI), and schedule performance index (SPI).
3. Risk Management & Change Control
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy, identifying potential project risks.
  • Lead quantitative and qualitative risk assessments and provide mitigation strategies.
  • Manage change orders, contract variations, and claims, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
4. Progress Monitoring & Reporting
  • Prepare and present weekly/monthly progress reports, highlighting key performance metrics and project health.
  • Ensure real-time data tracking and use of project controls software for accurate reporting.
  • Support executive decision-making by providing detailed trend analysis and scenario planning.
5. Stakeholder Coordination & Compliance
  • Collaborate with Project Directors, Finance, Procurement, and Construction teams to ensure alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory standards, and financial governance.
  • Act as a key interface between clients, EPC contractors, and consultants to resolve project control challenges.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience:15+ years of experience in Project Controls for large-scale Renewable Energy (Wind & Solar) projects.
  • Strong background in EPC project execution, cost management, and schedule control.
  • Experience in managing 500MW+ projects, preferably in the GCC region.
  • Skills:Expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, Earned Value Management (EVM), and cost control systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environments.
