Job Description

A new opportunity has come up for an international firm in Dubai, UAE. Our client is currently looking for aRegional Finance and Operation Manager who will report to the EMEA COO and will work closely with the EMEA Financial Director and EMEA, Head of IT. This role will have a dotted reporting line to the Head of the Middle East, and will work closely with other finance colleagues, business service team Leaders, senior management including partners within the region and Firm-wide.?The candidate will have day-to-day responsibilities for leading the finance and office services functions to ensure efficient delivery and high quality support to the firm.Candidates should have the following skills and experience listed below:?Lead and manage the finance function, including compliance with all internal and external reporting requirements, maintain appropriate internal controls, enforce compliance with group policies on travel, expenses, WIP & debtor control, payroll and APResponsible for managing the billing, collections and AP functionsPreparation of the P&L balance sheet statementsFinancial analysisMonitor and review of balance sheet accountsVAT filing and analysisEnsure timeous payroll processingCost control and vendor contract analysisDeal with Audit requirementsMonitor and prepare of cash forecasting reportsSupport, mentor and manage team membersWork closely with the global finance business partner in developing a pricing strategy that will enable the firm as a practice to be more competitive in the Middle East marketFinancial hygiene - ensure that for weekly partners meeting accurate figures are timeously provide on ADCH, WIP, Debt, Billings as well as providing a new matters report. On a monthly basis, an analysis and trend report is to be providedUp-skilling / Knowledge - ensure knowledge is up to date in keeping abreast with changes made in SAP and related programs such as Transform. Continuously seek innovative and new ways of working (resource management).Working closely with the UAE Office Manager in ensuring Real Estate and facilities management functions are properly managed including all lease and office space related functions (leasing, fit-out projects, office moves/closures, space planning), providing a safe, productive, and comfortable working environment for all staff, and ensuring offices comply with internal and external formal legal requirements.Local delivery of IT, working closely with the Regional IT Manager (ME) and EMEA Head of IT, in ensuring local needs are communicated and service levels are deliveredAll external supplier relations and contracting to extract best value and ensure independent contract assessmentDevelop and implement Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for the offices, liaising with IT and other teams as necessary. This would include coordinating BCP exercises with team members and senior leadershipProviding visible leadership to direct reportsIntroduce as appropriate improved ways of working that will improve quality of service to thepartnership whilst also making the offices more efficient and cost effectiveRequirementsTo be considered for the role, you need to meet the following criteria:?Qualified Accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, ACMA,CPA) with strong post-qualification experience gained in a financial control contextExperience in SAP systemExperience gained in a professional services environment or legal practice environment is essentialExperience in working in a matrix reporting structure complexA candidate with experience ga
