Job Description

At John Crane we have an exciting opportunity to join the finance department as Regional Finance Business Partner for the MEA region.Reporting to the Senior Director Finance, your key tasks are: management reporting, investment decision support, budget/forecasting process, strategic planning support and general financial market intelligence for you region.You will also work closely with the regional commercial VP, providing insightful financial reporting coupled with recommendations for improvements, delivering strategic roadmap by ensuring the commercial strategy for delivering end-to-end results.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ultimate ownership of all monthly consolidated data for the GeoMarkets Region, financial planning process for all quarterly, annual and strategic financial plans, including delivery of supporting materials.
  • A strategic partner to the MEA GeoMarkets Regional VP/Director providing leadership,direction and problem solving to address any fundamental issues
  • Acts as a regional expert of the local business, providing timely, independent insight and updates to the Senior Director Finance, GeoMarkets.
  • Supports regional decision making to maximise revenue growth, working capital usage and service centre /manufacturing excellence and profitability.
  • Provide recommendations for reporting improvements, influences support across the globe and implements those enhancements where appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with the regional financial controller and individual countrycontrollers to ensure a united yet efficient finance function is maintained.
  • Input to the creation and presentation of the GeoMarkets financial strategy.
  • Support ad-hoc John Crane initiatives, projects or M&A activities including integration and information requests as directed by the Senior Director Finance, GeoMarkets

  • Senior Finance experience with a strong focus on Operational, Commercial and or Strategic Business Analysis preferably in a large multi-location business.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and build trusted working relationships withinternal and external business customers
  • Use data/analytics to proactively monitor and review plans to hit or exceed targets and drives continuous improvement
  • Efficiently sourcing and analysing critical information and making effective, timely recommendations whilst taking into account the needs and impacts on business stakeholders.
  • Flexible and to balance multiple, changing priorities and work independently under tight deadlines
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
