Description :Stantec is looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor for its water infrastructure project in UAE.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:Technical Delivery:Experience in all facets of quantity surveying including: Cost Planning Quantity Take-Off Preparation of Bills of Quantities in CESMM format Estimating Tender and Contract Document Production Report Writing Claim Evaluation/Negotiation General Post Contract Administration Valuation of Variations Agreement of new rates Taking Over Certificates and Defects LiabilityAssist the Project Manager on commercial mattersAssist in the preparation, submission, and agreement of interim payment applications to maximize the companys cashflowAssist in the Preparation of the weekly & Monthly Progress Dashboards.Assist in the Preparation of the Progress meeting Presentations.Coordinate to ensure compliance with contractual requirementsGeneral commercial management of sub-contractorsAccurate and efficient measurement and identification of variationsProduction and agreement of final accounts and any additional cost claimsPlacement of subcontract order and agreement of subcontract final accountsEnsure that income from interim applications Is received on timeCoordinate to ensure financial report is issued accurately in a timely mannerCollaboration and Teamwork:Work in conjunctions with engineers to solve project design conflicts, and perform basic design calculationsConduct field inspections under the supervision of the Project ManagerLiaise with all teams working remotely to facilitate completion of tasksClient Service Management:Liaise with internal and external clientsBuild and maintain lasting positive relationshipsFollow Safe Work Practices:Complete all work in line with Stantecs core values and in accordance with Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality ProceduresDesign for safetyOther duties as requested from time to time by the Project ManagerQualificationsQualifications :Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying from a recognized institutionMinimum 4+ years of similar work experienceExperience in working on Water Infrastructure, TSE, Networks, Water Pipelines, Flood Prevention SchemesFluency in English and high degree of numeracy and literacy.Excellent in using MS office package (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
