Quantity Surveyor M/FPosition description Job titleQuantity Surveyor M/F Contract typePermanent contract Job descriptionThe Quantity Surveyor is responsible for providing technical support to the project team for the preparation of quantity calculations, monthly valuations and any other quantity surveying activities including but not limited to: * Working in coordination with the Site team* Maintain the contract documents* Estimating quantities, costs and time scales for material and labour* Note the additional items and their quantities, which are not included in the consultant bill of quantities* Prepare monthly valuation for the Client and ensure the payment applications are submitted on time* Follow up closely with the consultant and the Client to ensure the timely release of payment certificates and overdue monies* Analyze all the specifications provided with the Project and study the drawings for additional work claims* Prepare variations/claims documentation* Identifying and weighing up commercial risks* Valuing completed work.* Perform other work-related duties as required to effectively fulfill the quantity surveyor duties ProfileSkills:* Sufficient Computer skills and proper English reading & writing* Strong attention to details* Solid knowledge in method of measurements such as POMI and CESMM4 etc.* Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications* Excellent knowledge of estimation and quantity surveying applications* Excellent attention to detail* Analytical thinking skills* Understanding of engineering science and technology* Knowledge of construction - knowledge in steel structures is an advantagePosition location Job locationMiddle-East/North Africa, United Arab Emirates CityDubaiCandidate criteria Minimum level of education required6-Engineer?s degree Minimum level of experience required6-10 years OrganisationEgis is a global consulting and engineering firm working in construction, transport and mobility services.
