Job PurposeDevelop and maintain a high level of quality in terms of Fabrication, Material Receipt and Documentation.Responsibilities and Duties? Undertaking Quality inspections on manufactured items from a Visual and Non Destructive Perspective.? Undertaking Quality inspections on supplied and delivered items and ensuring these meet the Material and Technical requirements as well as checks for any non-conformities with respect to the relevant tolerances.? Preparation of Fabrication Data Books in conjunction with the Project Team.? Managing and preparing Welder Qualification/PQR/WPS. ? Manage the WQR and PQR databases, identifying any expiry dates.? Assisting with Project WPS preparation by assessing drawings/requirements and determining which Quality related checks are required for the relevant work scope.? Organising PQR?s and WPS?s.? Collects and maintains records of the Quality Documentary System.? Monitors and records the calibration of measuring equipment.? Monitors and records the certification of sensitive equipment such as load bearing, calibrated and certified equipment - lifting equipment such as shackles, slings, pressure test pump, PWHT machine, welding sets, etc.? Coordinate with third party companies subject to project requirements, upon request of the Project Coordinators (e.g. NDT, Certify load and/or pressure tests, Third party assigned by the client, etc.)? Monitoring of welding essential variables and equipment. ? In-process welding audit as per procedures and maintain records.The responsibilities and duties highlighted in this Job Description are indicative, and may vary over time.
