Vacancy Details11048 - PYP Coordinator - September 2022Location:UAE - Dubai About the Role We are looking for a qualified and experiencedPYP Coordinator. This appointment is for September, 2022. You will be responsible for the effective organization of the curriculum program and contribute to policy formation. Together with members of the management and administration, you will assist with the admission of new students. Responsibilities: ? Support and facilitate the work of the PYP program ? Inform and consult with teachers and the administration ? Organize weekly curriculum planning meetings with the teachers ? Mentor and model good inquiry practice in the classrooms ? Coordinate all IBO activities for the section of the school ? Maintains IBO publications and school records in regard to the IB programs ? Ensures that the school meets all IBO regulations and deadlines ? Establishes a complete record of IBO publications on file ? Contributes to marketing the IBO program, within and outside the school ? Maintains communication with the Headmaster, Principal, administration, faculty and parents regarding information about the program. This will include holding regular minuted meetings ? Establishes regular monitoring of students? progress in their IBO subjects, and keep accurate records of student progress ? Ensure parents are informed about their childrens progress ? Models and supports the timetabler to make sure that he/she understands the requirements of the program ? Maintains accurate records of all aspects of the IBO program ? Accommodates transfer students by liaising with their previous school and/or providing information to the receiving school ? Provides comprehensive information on the IBO to parents ? Establishes parents? meeting at least once per year ? Advises and assist in formulating school policy ? Communicates with the IBO regional office regarding program evaluation visits ? Oversees curriculum review and facilitate curriculum development around the themes of internationalism, holistic awareness, communication and cultural understanding ? Develops an understanding of the other IBO programs in order to aid articulation of the curriculum ? Supports teachers in the development of assessment tools in line with the school?s policy on assessment ? Identifies, facilitates and encourage professional development opportunities in relation to the program ? Attends workshops and conferences as appropriate ? Includes themselves in the selection of new members of staff, and then to work with the Principal to introduce and orientate them to the program ? Advise the Principal on program-related expenses and keep track of these ? Submit materials required for the Headmasters annual report ? Prepare effectively for any evaluation visits Qualifications: ? Bachelor Degree or higher ? Skilled and Qualified Teacher ? Minimum of 5 years PYP teaching experience ? Extensive IBO Training ? Extensive IBO Experience ? Management Experience ? Ability to multi-task ? Skilled in Instructional Planning, consultation, coordination and general teaching competencies ?
