Ideally located in the heart of Dubai Science Park, in the most sought after residential area of Dubai. Minutes away from mega malls, magnificent Jumeirah Beaches, world?s leading tourist attractions and Parks, auto drome and over 5 championship golf courses. The Holiday Inn & Suites at Dubai Science Park will include 240 hotel rooms and suites and 84 one-bedroom apartments, anchor F&B offerings and an extensive 1026sqm cutting-edge meeting and events facilities.

  • Monitors vendor reliability, dependability and establishes contact with prospective suppliers.
  • Secures delivery of required market list items at reasonable prices and in keeping with the hotel?s quality standards.
  • Completes purchase request for each vendor selected, assigns a consecutive number, logs the purchase request and places the order.
  • Distributes the Purchase Request copies in a timely manner, maintains an accurate and up to date files.
  • Prepares and obtains necessary approval on documents, Bank guarantee to clear consignments.
  • Responsible for clearing and forwarding consignments of any nature.
  • Prepares necessary papers to get refund on Bank Guarantee, Deposit, Insurance claims.
  • Pays particular attention to discrepancies between quoted and delivered prices noted by the Receiving Clerk and obtain clarification from supplier.
  • Co-ordinates with Procurement Manager to carry out Market Survey on Fresh Fruits & Vegetables, Fish/Sea foods and other fast moving items once in every 3 months basis.
  • Monitors vendors reliability, dependability and establish good relation good relation with vendors.
  • Follow-ups and ensure market list items delivered on time.
  • Completes Purchase Request with 3 quotes and select, assigns consecutive number and forward to Materials Manager for approval.
  • Prepares weekly out-standing list of purchase requests with reasons.
  • Follow-ups with vendor daily, and obtain best possible delivery date.
  • Pays attention to discrepancies between quoted and delivered prices noted by the Receiving Agent and obtain clarification from suppliers.
  • Performs special duties/projects as required
Ideally, you will have 2 years of experience in a similar role in a 4/5 stars hotel. You need to be people oriented and highly passionate about your job with a great level of confidence. Good English communication skills are essential. You will need to be flexible with working hours and having good knowledge of hotel system is preferred.
