Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Purchasing Manager (Fresh Produce). You will be responsible for obtaining produce for our business, negotiating and benchmarking for the best prices, adding new suppliers to our roster and maintaining good relationships with current suppliers. The ideal candidate will be apt in analytical skills, demand planning, and negotiation skills to achieve maximum profit.The goal is to contribute to sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success.Responsibilities:

  • Perform and report competitor analysis and specification, price and supplier benchmarking
  • Secure supply of the right raw materials at the right quality, from approved suppliers, on time in full, at the continuous most competitive total cost with considerations of quality, reliability of source, and urgency of need
  • Complete purchase order input based on review of stock status report and safety stock levels
  • Analyze and monitor sales records, trends, weather/seasons and economic conditions to forecast consumer-buying patterns and determine inventory needs while working close with sales team to obtain information about customer specific needs and preferences
  • Review and analyze daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly inventory and profit reports.
