The Public Relations Officer (PRO) performs a critical role in the timely application and issuance of required crew visas and vessel permissions. With a thorough and current knowledge of the related rules and regulations, the PRO acts as an internal expert for matters pertaining to the processing of necessary formalities for the vessel.Job responsibilities include but is not limited to:? Complete all necessary formalities within required timeframes. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with regards to personally identifiable information (PII).? Complete all necessary procedures with processing vessel-related permissions and act as an immediate point of contact in case of any difficulty with Customs, Port, Immigration, Coast Guard and other government authorities.? Represent the company in Customs, Port, Immigration, Coast Guard and other government entities for any department requirement.? Provide support for processing applications on behalf of principal / nominator with respective government authorities.? Prepare the required checklist for incoming / outgoing vessels and upload information on applicable portals / systems.? Support in preparing necessary government correspondence in English / Arabic as and when required.? Due to the nature of the job, there may be requirements to work late evenings / weekends / holidays.
