Project Manager - Waste to Energy

The Project Manager will be part of the company's Middle East Business Unit, which business covers among others water, waste and energy Design & Build projects, either in solo or with partners (consortia/joint ventures) as well as BOT/Concessions schemes.AIM? Be responsible for the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects between USD 250m and USD 1 billion in the Middle East by ensuring professional management of resources, schedules and budgets throughout the full lifecycle of projects, starting from design till testing and commissioning/hand-over, and by ensuring that safety and specifications requirements are being strictly followed.NATURE OF ROLE? As Project Manager, implement and manage a full Project reporting towards an Operations Manager/Director. ? Define the optimum execution strategy, implement the Project budgets, organization and resources, mobilize qualified personnel, manage progress, priorities and site execution, enforce Project standards and planning and overall Project yield.? Manage the relationships with key stakeholders such as the Employer, the Engineer, Local Authorities and coordinate all other third-parties such as Contractors, Suppliers, Subcontractors throughout all stages of the Project, including with the future Operator on O&M topics.? Ensure robust contractual and financial follow-up and budget control, apply contracts management experience to identify, raise and negotiate contractual rights and obligations.? Co-ordinate efficiently between the different Civil, Process and MEICA disciplines to minimize engineering interface issues, ensure successful design and execution delivery, and anticipate adequately the Commissioning and Performance tests requirements.? Coordinate and improve quality and operational efficiency of own area by ensuring QHSE and company procedures are followed and by applying local improvements of established operational processes/systems.? Analyze and evaluate the Project?s progress and resources and propose improvements, corrections and/or urgent actions needed, identify and implement improved construction methodologies and techniques to reduce execution costs and operations.? Identify potential risks within the Project and work around their mitigation or convert them to opportunities.DIMENSION & IMPACTS? You have a minimum of 10 years of verifiable relevant working experience at a similar position in the field of water, waste and energy projects involving extensive coordination requirements of Civil and Process/MEICA matters during design, execution, and testing & commissioning stages.? You have the experience to drive project execution within budget, within time and in full compliance with the company safety and quality standards, and to manage constructive relationships with key stakeholders.? You assess issues, develop alternate solutions and implement pragmatic strategies rapidly. You are recognized as a motivational leader, with multicultural experience gained during international projects. ? You set challenging individual and common goals.
