Job Description

PROJECT MANAGER - AGRICULTUREJOB PURPOSE: The Agriculture Project Manager will lead the design and implementation phase of the Energy & Farming component, providing technical advisory on irrigation, farming and financing model/mechanism that are appropriate to the beneficiaries.?????? ???? ??????? ??????? ????? ??????? ???????? ????? ?????? ???????? ? ??? ???? ??????? ?????? ??? ????? / ???? ???? ???????? ???????? ???????? ??????????.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage, mentor, and supervise staff.
  • Manage budget and resources.
  • Plan, develop and implement processes and policies.
  • Assure quality control of project activities, including supporting teams, reviewing work deliverables, and providing value-added feedback.
  • Conduct research and development research reports, technical notes and related project activities.
  • Identify the project target regions with high irrigation potential and need for irrigation improvement.
  • Demonstrate new and existing crop varieties using commercial input packages to different interested parties, including farmers, processors, commodity buyers, and government representatives.
  • Demonstrate dry season cropping under modern irrigation methods, suitable for business.
  • ?Experiment on innovative practices (seed production, irrigation scheme trials, fertility management, cattle conflict resolution, etc.)
  • Collect data and analyse results and prepare reports for wide circulation to all interested parties.
  • Evaluate current practices and identify/propose improvement paths by providing technical advice.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRE:Minimum 5 years? experience in Agro-business development and management of agriculture projects.?EDUCATION REQUIRE:Bachelor or Master?s degree in agricultural economics, agribusiness management or Agronomy, Agricultural engineering.
