Position DescriptionProject management of small, medium and large size projects involving control and on /off valves.- Understanding technical and commercial requirement of the contract, booking the order in the system, ordering materials, expediting with suppliers, document submission and arrange approval by client. Coordinate with other functions and arrange for shipment of order, complete post order documentation and payment collection.- Handle any post order queries from customer.- To control the cost of each project and ensure that the projected OI is met / highlight any errors in SAP calculation that will affect the projected OI.- To work with Customers & Inspection agencies and coordinate the approval of documents and inspection of valves To liaison with Freight Forwarders for the shipment of the goods, once the shipment clearance is obtained.- To help Finance department to collect payments on time.Position RequirementsQualification:Diploma in mechanical engineering /instrumentation engineering or Bachelor of engineering (mechanical or production) with minimum of 8-10 years of valve industry experience is preferred.Job Competencies:Strong technical knowledge of valves including materials and actuators. Good expediting skills and adequate commercial acumen.Ability to review and understand the project requirements.Capable of good time management to ensure that projects are shipped within the committed delivery dates.Ability to respond to customer on time, with required / requested details.Ability to create and maintain good inter-personal & inter-departmental relationship.Good communication skills.
