Black & Grey HR is hiring for a Construction Business in the UAE, who are looking to˙hire˙an experienced Procurement Engineer for a construction company. The candidate will be responsible for identifying project requirements, preparing vendor lists, soliciting quotations, preparing purchase orders, coordinating with site team and subcontractors, and handling variations, payment certificates, and payment applications.<br /><br />- Identify procurement requirements once a project is awarded.<br />- Prepare vendor lists based on vendor evaluation and procurement schedule.<br />- Send out enquiries to vendors for pricing.<br />- Address queries and seek clarification from the Consultant for any ambiguities, and communicate information to subcontractors and suppliers as needed.<br />- Solicit and evaluate quotations from vendors, and carry out negotiations for favorable pricing and terms.<br />- Prepare bid summaries with technical and price comparisons for review.<br />- Prepare purchase orders for materials and agreements for subcontractors.<br />- Prepare technical submittals for all construction materials.<br />- Update pricing database and vendor list regularly.<br />- Follow up for timely delivery of materials and coordinate with site team and subcontractors.<br />- Conduct quantity take-offs to verify bills or quantify work.<br />- Prepare cost value reports to track project expenses.<br />- Prepare variations, payment certificates, and payment applications as required.<br /><br />Requirements- Bachelor degree in Engineering or architecture/ Holder of Quantity Surveying Degree<br />-˙Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement within the construction industry.<br />- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.<br />- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.<br /><br /><br />Benefits- Attractive Salary & Benefits<br />
