Process Safety Engineer - MEETPOSITION SUMMARYThis position will lead Process Safety initiatives, operability hazard reviews and facilitate the application of process safety related engineering principles for the, operation, maintenance and upgrade of existing plant assets, for all the Middle East Operations Facilities in the Region, with the objective of reducing or eliminating the potential for release of energy or inventory that could harm workers, the public, or the environment. The position may also support the Equipment Sales and Plant Support team in providing similar services to Air Products joint ventures, sale of equipment and potential new customers in the RegionJob incumbent is to be located in the KSA Daharan Technology Center, however it is expected that about 15-30% regional [and some global] travel will be required.Nature & Scope

• Has direct responsibility for Process Safety activities across all Middle East Region Sites.
• Technologies supported include Air Separation (ASU), Hydrogen and CO production (HYCO), Packaged Gas, Gasification and Helium.
• Leads implementation of Air Products process safety standards, work processes, programs, and training across the Region.
• Assists operating teams in implementation of Process Safety Management Programs across the Region, ensuring that all Process Safety Management elements are properly implemented.
• Interfaces with Air Products global, regional, and local Process Safety Engineers, Regional Operations team members, project and design engineering teams, and other technical support personnel.
• Facilitates use of Air Products and local regulatory process safety, fire protection, and security related standards/policies, with engineering, operations, and commercial teams, to provide cost effective Process Safety solutions
• Supports interface activities between sites and customers, to ensure process safety requirements are met.
• Provides process safety support to the Air Products Equipment Sales & Product Services Team, who provide services to Air Products joint ventures in the Region.
• Provides operations input to Global Engineering during the engineering and execution of a new capital project. Supports commissioning and startup as required.

• Demonstrate leadership with all company & industry Process Safe work processes
• Drive implementation of Process Safety work practices across the Region
• Ensure proper documentation is maintained for all Process Safety activities across the Region

• Lead Process Hazard Reviews, Quantitative Risk Analysis, Mechanical Integrity consultation, Safety Integrated System analysis, Management of Change, Process Safety Management, Operation Readiness Inspections, Security Vulnerability Assessments, Compliance Audits, and Process Safety training.
• Lead process safety review of plant modifications, on-going operations, and continuous improvement and maintenance activities across the Region. Ensure activities meet Regulatory and Air Products internal Standards Process Safety requirements
• Implement global process safety standards, tools, programs, training courses, and work processes.
• Assist in interpretation of national and local Process Safety Regulatory/Code requirements for the Middle East and provide guidance to the project team. Assist in assessment or review for regulatory and permitting process.
• Work with the Corporate Central Process Safety team to identify higher risk activities that may require escalation and Executive level review.

• Provide Process Safety support to operations across the Region
• Drive adoption of Air Products standards, global best practices and Safety Culture across the Region
• Identify and implement Process Safety continuous improvement efforts across the region
• Align process safety and commercial prioritieswith Operations Management, Site Leadership and the Business Area.
