Job Description

The PPF and Car Wrapper Installer Technician is responsible for the preparation, installation, and maintenance of paint protection films (PPF) and vinyl wraps on a variety of vehicles. The role requires precise attention to detail, knowledge of different film and wrap materials, and excellent hands-on skills to ensure high-quality finishes. The installer will work closely with customers and team members to ensure that the applied wraps and films meet or exceed expectations in terms of both durability and appearance.Key ResponsibilitiesPaint Protection Film (PPF) Application:

  • Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, polishing, and correcting paint imperfections as needed before PPF application.
  • Apply PPF to various parts of the vehicle, such as hoods, bumpers, fenders, mirrors, and door edges, ensuring smooth and accurate coverage.
  • Use heat guns and other tools to mold and fit the film to curved surfaces, preventing air bubbles, wrinkles, or creases.
  • Inspect applied PPF for quality, ensuring seamless application and high durability.
Vinyl Wrap Installation:
  • Install vinyl wraps on entire vehicles or specific sections as requested by customers, such as roofs, doors, or hoods.
  • Measure, cut, and align wraps to fit vehicle surfaces perfectly, ensuring accuracy in patterns and colors.
  • Handle specialty wraps (such as matte, gloss, metallic, carbon fiber) with care and knowledge of each material?s requirements.
  • Use squeegees, heat guns, and cutting tools to achieve a smooth, professional finish.
Surface Preparation and Cleaning:
  • Prepare all vehicle surfaces by washing, decontaminating, and inspecting for defects.
  • Perform paint correction and polishing as necessary to ensure that the surface is ready for film or wrap application.
Maintenance and Removal:
  • Perform PPF and wrap maintenance services, including inspection and reapplication if necessary.
  • Remove existing wraps or PPF without damaging vehicle paint, ensuring cleanliness and precision during the removal process.
Customer Service and Quality Control:
  • Communicate with clients regarding their specific preferences and requirements.
  • Inspect completed jobs thoroughly and make adjustments to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide customers with care instructions to maintain the appearance and longevity of their wrap or PPF.
