Job Description

The Power BI Business Analyst (BA) is part of the SVL Digital Team and SVL Finance team, reporting the Finance manager OTC/MD (?FM?).There is considerable potential for growth in the region, and the role of BA is to support business decision-making and strategy implementation, with qualitative analysis, at the interface between Finance and Business/Operations. He is part of a small high performance team which operates across cultural and geographical boundaries in Africa, constantly targeting optimized financial performance.The BA is a Power BI expert, he is responsible for the digitalization of the group financial reporting in Power BI. He?s part of a Digitalization Project team, he will support the SVL Digital Manager and the SVL Finance Manager OTC/MD to progress group Digitalization by delivering key developments for the finance workstream. He?s in charge of the tool administration, to ensure that key reports are timely and accurately updated, in accordance to group reporting timeline.Principal Accountabilities:

  • Drive the digitalization of financial reporting in Power BI, from consolidated performance to the lowest level of details (Financials P&L, B/S, CFS, Country performance, margin analysis by SKU):
  • Develop Power BI dashboards as per road map defined for Finance, using DAX and Modelling.
  • Responsible for data collection and data centralization before integration to Power BI, in line with solutions recommended by IT and SVL Digital Manager.
  • Tool administration to ensure that key reports are timely and accurately updated, in accordance to group reporting timeline.
  • ú Provide the FM OTC MD with in depth business and financial analysis in Power BI
  • ú Actively participate to planning and forecasting activities leading to delivery of the yearly plan and quarterly forecast, with a specific focus on market and SKU performance to be updated in Power BI (planning tool extract to update Power BI).
  • ú Support the FM with Margin Sharing analysis allowing fair application of pricing deed, and settlement in Power BI.
  • ú Oversight of month end close activities and review of the reporting packs received by Central MI team for update in Power BI.
  • ú Support and lead operational performance in countries for products deliveries by challenging actuals performance against plan in Power BI.
