Type of Job : Contract Hire (contracted through MPH to work for the company)Work Location : Dubai, UAEDuration : 6 months renewableThe PDA is responsible for Solution Compliance for a Bid or Project or for a Product Development phase (as a Project). ? Acts as the primary technical leader of the bid or project team.? Acts as lead technical interface with the Customer (or PLM for a Product).? Ensures the feasibility of the Solution including:1. the adequacy of the solution in term of architecture and technology maturity with respect to solution requirements,2. the consistency of the Solution with the Product Policy and Make-Team-Buy strategy,3. the feasibility with respect to cost, schedule, skills, resources and industrial organization,4. the compliance with the contractual requirements (including offsets) and applicable legislation & regulations (ie export restrictions, Environmental/HSE, safety, security..),5. the risk assessment and the related mitigation plan.? Ensures that the production and maintenance/service aspects of the Solution are taken into account in terms of: Manufacturability, Maintainability, Consistency between Non-Recurring & Recurring/Production costs.? Checks that the Engineering Environment (process, practices and tools) for the Solution is consistent with the project needs and the applicable Engineering Environment rules.? When needed, performs the Complexity Profiler analysis & identifies the necessary actions.? Alerts in a timely manner the PM and DA as needed.? Jointly with the SEM (Solution Engineering Manager):1. Identifies and reviews the technical risks and opportunities and the related mitigation plans throughout the bid or project,2. when used, establishes and maintains the Key Decisions tree and associated actions,3. prepares the DVa and submit it to the Design Authority (DA) approval,4. approves the main bid/project engineering reviews and deliverables,5. organises when appropriate technical meetings and peer reviews in order to perform the Solution or Solution Element technical assessment and validation.
