  • Assist the inhouse designer in making patterns for sample and display
  • Execute the pattern cutting plan as approved
  • Do the pattern grading as and when required and guide tailors on stitching and finishing the samples
  • Interpret a designer?s drawings to create pattern templates using work drawings
  • Refer to a library of patterns to find a pattern which you can adapt and cut cardboard pattern pieces for each part of the garment whenever required
  • Drape pieces of material over a dummy, shaping and pinning them around the ?body? until they fit correctly, then cutting out a pattern based on the pieces
