Job Description

Pastry Sous ChefJob Location : Dubai, UAEKey Responsibilities :•Assist in organizing and coordinating pastry and dessert preparation, ensuring standards are met•Help achieve food cost targets set by the Head Pastry Chef•Prepare a variety of baked goods and desserts, following traditional and modern recipes•Develop new ideas and items, including non-gluten options, ensuring high quality•Innovate menu offerings to enhance member and guest experience•Monitor and order baking ingredients within budget•Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the pastry section•Prepare duty rotas, assist with vacation planning, and manage overtime•Conduct demonstrations of dishes and record the process•Manage the Pastry Department in the absence of the Head ChefQualifications and Skills :•Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role within luxury hotels or high-end restaurants•Recognized professional certification•Proficient in English, both written and spoken•Strong organizational and time management skills•Excellent team management and problem-solving abilities•High integrity and confidentiality•Self-motivated with a mindset for continuous improvement•Ability to work long shifts and stand for extended periods
