Job Description

Role / IntroductionWe are looking for a paralegal to support the Senior Commercial Counsel responsible for our markets in the Middle East which currently include the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait. The successful candidate will sit within our UAE business team in Dubai and report into the legal team in London.We are offering a competitive package including share options.Objectives of the RoleWe expect the successful candidate to work closely with the Senior Commercial Counsel (Middle East) on a wide scope of legal work including commercial, employment, IP, data protection, corporate, litigation and regulatory matters. They will also have opportunities to interact with the broader legal team on global and cross-border projects.Daily and Monthly ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of the role include the following:

  • Assisting the Senior Commercial Counsel (Middle East) across all practice areas but with a particular focus on commerical work.
  • Drafting a range of legal documents, policies and correspondence.
  • Legal research.
  • Preparing and maintaining tracker documents for monitoring progress of matters.
  • Assisting with document review exercises.
  • Implementing and maintaining online filing and document management systems.
  • Assisting with management of external service providers (e.g. corporate service providers, translators).
  • General logistical assistance (including travel and diary management).
RequirementsCandidates should have excellent academics and some experience as a paralegal at a private practice law firm or in-house. Fluency in both English and Arabic is required.We are also looking for candidates with the following characteristics:
