Were currently looking for an operations lead to drive the expansion of our operations capability, scalability whilst reducing overall complexity. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will have strong fulfilment/distribution centre, e-commerce, or meal kit background in operations or fulfilment. Our operation has expanded several times over very recently and we are now about to undertake our biggest ever programme of capacity expansion. This is an exciting and challenging time for Hello Chef and particularly for our operations teams. The operations lead is responsible for all elements of our operations, including receiving, inventory, and production, making use of instant customer feedback and managing expectations to drive magical meal experiences for our growing customer base. You will be accountable for planning and executing a range of significant step changes within Hello Chefs operational systems and processes, including working closely with software engineering and product teams to develop solutions to our biggest customer and operational problems. Youll also have a key role in the planning and implementation of a new, state-of-the-art distribution centre which enables scalability and ensures cold chain compliance. Mission The mission of the operations lead is to consistently reduce order-to-delivery lead time to 48 hours by December 2023. Accountabilities, Goals, and Outcomes * Significantly reduce our order-to-delivery lead time from 96 hours as at May 2022, to 48 hours by December 2023 * Implement and maintain cold chain processes to achieve less than 5-degree product temperature deviation * Improve our operations business process efficiency by 20% by December 2023 * Implement and maintain inventory best practises to reduce shrinkage / wastage to below 0.5% by June 2023 * Achieve a minimum of 98% on-time customer dispatch by December 2023 What Youll Need * A track record of leading major, measurable operational and delivery wins * 7+ years in operations and fulfilment, ideally with last mile exposure * Excellent people management skills + 5+ years in effectively leading a large, multi-disciplinary, and high-performing team while driving its culture + You have an interest in spending a significant portion of your time on the shop floor and working directly with all levels of staff + Exceptional communicator at all levels of the organisation * Excellent process development skills + You have a comprehensive background in inbound, inventory, and outbound and driving its scalability agenda + Deep experience in working with software engineering and product teams to execute complex ERP, WMS, and picking/packing software implementations + Customer service is an obsession and youre willing to do whatever it takes to satisfy customer needs + You have deep experience with root cause analysis, lean methods, and best practices to improve health and safety, quality, speed, and cost * Analytical and strategic thinking skills + Excellent quant-focused skills, using deep excel and analytical analysis to interpret data, understand and communicate opportunities, design experiments, measure impact, and share and build on learnings + Able to prioritise between competing tasks quickly and effectively + Large project management and/or change delivery experience * Experience across Food/FMCG/e-commerce/consumer goods will be a distinct advantage What We Offer * Flat hierarchies, constant learning, outstanding team atmosphere, and an international mix * A full-time position with a competitive salary that will grow as you do Other Details * Competitive package * Medical insurance, 22 working days off a year, with an annual ticket home * Relocation assistance to Dubai, if applicable * 50% discount on your Hello Chef subscription, as well as other product initiatives * Office Location: Dubai Investment Park, Dubai, UAE If you meet the above criteria and are looking for a position that will grow your career and experience, please apply by attaching your CV.
