Job Description

Odoo Developer must be a skilled software professional responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications and modules using the Odoo ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) platform. The Odoo Developer collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective and efficient software solutions. The role involves coding, testing, debugging, and integrating various modules to ensure a seamless user experience and optimize business processes.Responsibilities:

  1. Application Development: Design, develop, and enhance custom modules, features, and functionalities in Odoo to meet business requirements. This includes creating new modules or customizing existing ones to improve the overall ERP system.
  2. Integration: Integrate Odoo with third-party applications, plugins, and APIs to enhance the systems capabilities and ensure data synchronization between different systems.
  3. Database Management: Manage and maintain the Odoo database, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance. Optimize database queries and structure for efficient data retrieval and storage.
  4. Bug Fixing and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve bugs, issues, and errors in the Odoo system promptly. Conduct thorough testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  5. Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed modules and customizations. This documentation should be clear, concise, and accessible to team members.
  6. Custom Report Development: Create customized reports and business intelligence tools to provide insights and support data-driven decision-making processes.
  7. Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks in the Odoo system and implement optimizations to enhance system responsiveness and efficiency.
  8. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with functional consultants, project managers, and other developers to understand business requirements, user stories, and project scope.
  9. Odoo Upgrades and Migration: Stay updated with the latest Odoo releases and implement system upgrades when necessary. Assist in migrating data and customizations during version upgrades.
  10. Training and Support: Provide training to end-users on Odoo functionalities and features. Offer technical support and assistance to resolve user issues and queries.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Odoo Developer or similar ERP development role.
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming language and experience with PostgreSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with the Odoo development framework, ORM, and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Knowledge of the Odoo module development process and best practices.
  • Understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience in integrating Odoo with other systems and applications through APIs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
