Job Description

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide Occupational Therapy services for children from 0 to 12 years old with physical, developmental, or cognitive impairment, in 1:1 or group therapy sessions.
• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate children?s functional abilities, limitations, and goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the assessment findings.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques and modalities to improve client?s physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning.
• Help children improve their daily living skills, such as feeding, dressing, grooming, toileting, bathing, etc.
• Provide education and training to client?s families, caregivers, colleagues, other educators, and therapists within the clinic, outside the clinic and through different social media platforms regarding effective strategies for managing functional limitations and promoting optimal functioning.
• Monitor client?s progress regularly and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
• Document client evaluations, treatment sessions, progress, and discharge summaries in a timely and accurate manner.
• Stay updated on current research, best practices, and advancements in occupational therapy to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards, maintaining confidentiality and respecting client?s rights and privacy.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education activities.
• Comply with all regulatory and accreditation standards relevant to occupational therapy practice.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and outcome measures to enhance the effectiveness of occupational therapy services.ÿÿ

• Provide Speech Therapy services for children from 1 to 12 years old with physical, developmental, or cognitive impairments, in 1:1 or group therapy sessions.
• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate children?s speech, language, and swallowing assessments.
• Designing and implementing a structured and individualized treatment program to assist children with various speech, language and swallowing disorders or delays.
• Provide the highest quality clients care and clients? service.
• Provide ongoing guidance within each client?s individualized program, ensuring each client?s continued progress towards their maximum potential.
• Communicate questions, client?s progress or other feedback to teachers, parents, guardians, other family members, other therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide education and training to client?s families, caregivers, colleagues, other educators, and therapists within the clinic, outside the clinic and through different social media platforms regarding effective strategies for managing functional limitations and promoting optimal functioning.
• Collect data and maintain documentation pertaining to each client?s individualized program.
• Write client observation reports or progress notes highlighting the client?s strengths and areas of need as well as recommendations for school, teachers, and client?s family.
• Update all reports, progress and any material pertaining to the client into the Client Relationship Management System.ÿ
