The teacher?s primary role is to undertake the responsibility of providing children in her care with a safe and secure learning environment. It is a teacher?s responsibility to plan, organise and deliver activities and create learning experiences for a group of children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years old. Teachers will work within an anti ? discriminatory and inclusive environment, as an integral part of the team, to facilitate the all-round development of children enabling them to reach their full potential.Teachers must be able to reflect current best practice. Children should be supported to develop within the Reggio Emilia inspired Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS).Key Responsibilities:Planning, teaching and assessmentEnsure all areas of the curriculum are covered through effective long, mid and short term plans ensuring a broad, balanced and inclusive curriculumObservations and assessment on individual child for all areas ofPlanning next steps based on the observations and assessment during teachingRecording and reporting children?s learning and development within givenMaintain ?Learning journeys? forTeaching planned lessons based on the age group and learning objectives of EYFSDemonstrate excellent and up to date classroom practiceUse a range and balance of teaching strategies and resourcesInvolve children actively in their own learning by encouraging ?Child initiative activities?.Identify the need of intervention and provide support for further development of the child/children.
