Network Security Engineer

Job Description

The network security engineer is responsible for safeguarding the firm s computer networks and systems and the provisioning, deployment, configuration, and administration of firewalls, routers, network access control, web proxy services, the company SIEM (Security Incident and Event Management) solution and anti-malware solutions. The network security engineer plans and implements security measures to protect the network from cyber-attacks, hacking, intrusion, infiltration, and other cybersecurity threats.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:? Plan, design, optimize, implement, audit, and troubleshoot the network security system to improve security and performance of the network.? Configuring and installing security infrastructure devices and services? Protect the network from threats, exploits and malware that could impact the network? Ensure that the networking systems are resilient against both internal and external cybersecurity threats.? Defining and maintaining IT security policies.? Develop and maintain an incident response plan to document and manage significant security incidents? Investigating security incidents, collecting logs and other relevant documentation? Follow ITIL standards for incident management and response? Testing and checking the company s security systems and solutions for weaknesses? Maintaining anti-malware, web proxy, email security and other threat protection solutions? Implementing industry best practices to test and improve the overall security of the company network? Generate regular security vulnerability assessment reports and documentation for management review? Implement audit regulatory requirements related to IT system security? Investigate new security methods and technologies to improve the company s overall security capabilities? Provide overall security oversight for IT projectsTECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:?
