Medical CoderJob Location : Dubai, UAEKey Responsibilities :•Review patient medical records (e.g., charts, reports, and operative notes) to extract pertinent information for accurate coding.•Assign appropriate ICD (International Classification of Diseases), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), and HCPCS (Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System) codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services.•Ensure accurate coding based on established coding guidelines, payer policies, and regulatory requirements.•Identify and resolve coding discrepancies or inconsistencies through thorough chart review and communication with healthcare providers.•Maintain current knowledge of coding updates, changes in regulations, and payer-specific guidelines.•Utilize coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.•Participate in coding audits and provide feedback for improvement.•Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.•Assist with other coding-related tasks as assigned.Requirements :•Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical coding.•Proven experience in ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding.•Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.•Knowledge of coding guidelines (e.g., Official Coding Guidelines, AHA Coding Clinic).•Proficiency in using coding software and EHR systems.•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.•Strong attention to detail and accuracy.•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.•Relevant certification (e.g., Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)) is preferred.
