Job Description

Medical Affairs Center of Execution (CoE), is a virtual unit within the Eastern Europe Middle East Africa (EEMEA) Medical Affairs Team, created to drive efficiency through digitalization, streamlining and out-sourcing a set of Global Medical Affairs activities at a central, above-market level.The role may be based in South Africa, Egypt or in Morocco.Our Medical Affairs team advances patient care by engaging in scientific exchange with external medical experts and industry professionals ensuring the scientific value of our products is realized. We engage and train internal employees to ensure that they thoroughly comprehend the science behind the medicine and review further unmet medical needs to bolster collaboration and further differentiate our portfolio.Key Responsibilities

  • To plan and execute medical affairs activities for a given therapy area in defined externalized markets across multiple clusters within Eastern Europe Middle East Africa region, in alignment with contractual obligations with alliance partners and in alignment with franchise medical strategy
  • Map and develop in-depth understanding of scientific leaders & key decision makers
  • Develop in-depth understanding of given therapy area/products, VEAM plans and competitor landscape to ensure quality in medical affairs activities
  • Partner with country medical teams and relevant Human Health colleagues to ensure strategic alignment and to develop annual MAP for given therapy area.
  • Adhere to relevant Standard Operating Processes, systems and standards

Required Qualification & Experience
  • MD, PhD in life sciences or Pharm D
  • Minimum of four years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology/medical device industry experience in medical affairs function
  • Working proficiency in French language (in addition to English) is desired
  • Experience in vaccines and/or infectious disease therapy area(s) is desired
