Support the IFAW MENA office in meeting IFAW?s strategic goals and priorities from a communication perspective. This will include public outreach for MENA initiatives and meetings that IFAW is involved with or leads.ÿ
ÿPitch IFAW?s rescue and conservation work to regional media outlets, in the form of press releases, op-eds and more, to secure quantity and quality coverage at an ongoing basis
Establish a network of journalists and outlets that will be key in raising awareness for IFAW?s priority issues, today and in the future
Skill and capacity to respond to urgent media requests, occasionally outside of regular business hours. Able to draft crisis management plans and statements aligning with IFAW?s position for MENA and other regions to use.ÿÿ
Experience and confidence in hosting journalists via press conferences, IFAW meetings and third-party events.ÿ
Position IFAW as a thought leader by identifying innovative communication channels and opportunities to help elevate IFAW experts and key messages (eg. events, interviews, podcasts)ÿ
Support continuous updates to IFAW?s MENA messaging, collateral and website content.ÿ
Source content creators (i.e. freelancer photographers/videographers) to capture content in the MENA region, depending on where initiative, project or relief support occurs.
Serve as an ambassador and guardian to IFAW?s brand, visuals and tone of voice to ensure cross-channel consistency.ÿ
