Job Description

Major Responsibilities?Design, build and deploy business MDM?Undertake rigorous testing to ensure quality and accuracy? Maintain business MDM platforms?Critically evaluate integration methods and architecture and collaborate with Governance team?Input to and advocate Data Governance Best Practices & Policies?Actively pursue data management efficiencies across the organization, with particular focus in thefirst instance to improving Acquisition integration of dataDefine and fine?tune processes for Master Data Management, Metadata Management andReference Data Management?Administration and configuration, including rules and workflowPage 2 of 3Master Data Management ArchitectCreate source connections and harvest metadata for lineage impact analysis and for data definitionand capturing definitions for metadataConfigure data quality rules and triage/troubleshoot issuesCreation and maintenance of technical documentation and Ensure technical documentations areupdated?Troubleshooting and defect resolution?Collaborate with teams for system integrations?Provide guidance on how technology solutions could help solve business and technical problems,evolve existing business capabilities, and enable new business capabilities?Provide implementation oversight, support, including testing of new features, interfaces, and othersystem changes?Profile, analyze, and provide recommendations on data ingestion methods ?? meaning the level ofcleansing, cross reference and enhancements to the data in a reusable fashion.?Assists in the application and implementation procedures of data standards and guidelines on dataownership, coding structures, and data replication to ensure access to and integrity of data sets.?Provides input and assistance through requirements, design, development, test, and deploymentproject phases. Includes data model, data matching and merging rules, survivorship criteria and datastewardship workflows using the MDM tool.?Develop deep understanding of Ministry of Education technologies, business processes, interfacesto other solutions, and functional areas to support MDM success.?Work with IT, Solution Providers, and Integrators to develop and ensure compliance to theEducation Data Center standards, ensuring that strategies translate to business requirements andmodels into feasible and acceptable database designs to ensure that business needs are met.?Oversee continual audit functions to improve quality over time.?Interacts professionally and effectively with multiple functional areasin developing andimplementing solutions related to Master Data activities.?Manage and Organize Metadata Management?Prepare auditing analysis to identify trends, patterns, and/or system issues that may contribute tocoding and documentation deficiencies and risk areas.?Collaborate with Business Leaders, Stewards and Business Users to resolve solution issues.?Provide training and guidance to cross functional teams on master data processes and the impact ofmaster data across the various functionsPerform any necessary data mapping and data lineage activities, documents information flowsrequired for Metadata management?Creating, maintaining and managing Reference Data Repository
