Qualifications: 1) Degree in Marine engineering from a reputable institute. 2) Marine Chief Engineer with a Minimum Two years sailing experience as Chief Engineer 3) Shore experience with classification society and shipyard will be preferred. 4) Willing to travel extensively for pre purchase inspections, condition surveys of owned vessels, survey attendance, inventory maintenance etc. 5) Strong communication skills and ability to work in teamsResponsibilities: 1) Day to day monitoring of Technical and operational aspects of the vessel in liaison with technical managers. 2) Ensure the vessels are managed within the technical budget as presented by the technical managers. 3) Interview and selection of top 4 officers as proposed by technical managers. Ensure vessels are adequately manned for safe operation and optimum maintenance. 4) Responsible for the maintaining the inventory of stores , spares onboard the vessel and keeping the owners online inventory module updated. 5) Conduct vessel inspections for condition survey a, SIRE Inspections and check inventory for any spare parts, extra fuel and oil. 6) Ensure all equipment and machinery is operated at the optimum performance for zero down time during vessels employment. 7) Ensure all certificates and technical documents in office and on board vessel are maintained and up to date. 8) Ensure vessels are always insured in compliance with insurance warranties, condition surveys and premium payments.Job Type: Full-time
