Job Description

The role of the Manager of Schools Performances and Programming focuses on overseeing the school performances project from development to preparation and event-time delivery; this includes developing the concept, selecting schools, liaising with schools prior to the Expo to ensure schools are well-prepared, and managing schools during the Expo to ensure seamless operations. Additionally, this role involves liaising with several departments at Expo to ensure development of meaningful programming for school students according to the different age groups across the main schools? journeys for the 6 months of Expo 2020.The main responsibilities for this role include:- Manage the development and delivery of school performances as well as managing relationships with schools and ensure continuous communications;-Analyze and evaluate programming proposals from third-party organizations to ensure they are aligned with Expo School Programme?s vision;- Manage key aspects of the relationship between Expo School Programme and Al Wasl, Programming, Partnerships, and International Participants departments;- Establish and maintain effective and continuous relations with school leaders, teachers, and the wider education community;- Liaise with internal departments to ensure awareness and alignment across programs and initiatives as needed;- Work with technology team to ensure databases and online content are continuously updated, informative, and effective;- Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships;- Support the team?s annual planning, delivery and overall performance, including budgeting, budget control, reporting and recruitment;
