Department DefinitionMedia Operations, a department within Communications, is responsible for providing all the services and facilities the accredited media need to do their jobs, both when on the Expo site and when working remotely. This includes all the planning and preparation in advance of the Event.Opportunity ResponsibilitiesThe Manager, Media Information and Broadcast Services will be part of the Media Operations team that is responsible for planning and delivering all media facilities and services required for accredited media attending the Expo, and specifically, the broadcast operations: this scope requires the delivery of the overall broadcast plan, attracting and ensuring delivery to all accredited broadcasters both working on site and taking content for delivery remotely.The main responsibilities of the role include:- Manage the development of the broadcast rate card portal and delivery structure, manage the implementing the bookings platform, ensuring usability and integration with third party suppliers (specifically including the Host Broadcaster and Etisalat);- Liaison with all accredited Media (national and international regarding their equipment and facility requests and bookings, pre Event and Event time;- Manage the bookings desk at the Expo Media Centre during Event time to support, assist and advise Media on their requests and bookings. Also manage bookable filming locations, facilities and studios for all Accredited (Broadcasters, Photographers and other Media);- Assist with the Information plan for media across the pre-Event and Event phases, integrating requirements for the Media Information System, ensuring the information provided is 100% accurate, 100% of the time;- Assist with the development and provision of any Expo 2020 information which is required for the inclusion in the Broadcast Operations sections of media guides and manuals;- Check in and Check out of Supplementary Access Devices and other passes from the Media Bookings Desk ensuring all devices are accounted for;- Work with third parties to ensure delivery of bookings, Liaise with third party services regarding billing and payment.
