Department DefinitionMedia Operations, a department within Communications, is responsible for providing all the services and facilities the accredited media need to do their jobs, both when on the Expo site and when working remotely. This includes all the planning and preparation in advance of the Event.Opportunity ResponsibilitiesThe Manager, Media Asset Management will manage the cataloguing, storing and distribution of all internal Expo 2020 media assets produced by the Media Operations TV news team and the Host Broadcaster for distribution and use by media outlets worldwide. The Manager, Media Asset Management will be a technical professional with excellent organisation and asset management skills optimising the exposure of the planning and delivery of Expo 2020 to global news outlets, while demonstrating superior client management.The main responsibilities of the role include:- Assign appropriate metadata to digital assets to ensure accurate usage;- Facilitate the uploading of assets as well as maintaining the Expo 2020 MAM system as well as maintain the storage and efficient cataloguing of all assets on the Expo 2020 MAM;- Register internal and external users to the Expo 2020 MAM based on pre-agreed permissions;- Manage a team of interns who will be assisting in logging and cataloguing media assets to the media asset management system;- Archive assets as necessary, facilitate retrieval of previously cataloged assets and manage technical queries on access and use of digital assets;- Assess, access, catalogue, add metadata to and manage all pre-existing digital assets created to date and continue pre, during and post Event; ensuring consistency and scheduling of release of digital assets to media is achieved;- Facilitate distribution of all digital assets to unilateral broadcasters globally;- Have experience in building quality working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders/clients.
