Job Description

Dubai Holding Entertainmentcurrently has an exciting career opportunity within our Assets at Dubai Parks & Resorts. We are looking to hire a Manager- Finance Operations responsible for leading the financial reporting, accounting, internal controls, treasury, corporate governance, tax and reporting systems functions and team. The role also oversees the day-to-day finance activities of the assigned BUAccounting & Financial Reporting

  • Manage the entire accounting and consolidation function.
  • Manage the annual statutory financial statements (consolidated and stand-alone) for the assigned BU and its subsidiaries in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the quarterly consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
  • Update, enhance and monitor as and when needed the accounting principles and accounting policy manual in accordance with IFRS and best practices.
  • Prepare accounting memorandums for all material, judgmental and/or complex accounting issues across the Group.
  • Keep abreast of changes in IFRS as well as local regulation and legislation. Evaluate on a timely basis the implementation impacts/consequences of any new accounting standards and interpretations.
  • Ensure timeliness, efficiency and reliability of the Group period end closing process.
  • Manage, monitor and optimize all finance related processes, policies, procedures and internal controls (implementation of Robotic Process Automation, etc.) to drive greater efficiency, compliance and productivity.
  • Liaise with the external auditors for audit planning, audit requirements, audit results and timely completion of the annual audits and quarterly reviews.
  • Ensure timely submission of the monthly Consolidation Pack to the group company.
  • Ensure financial statements are completed and signed within agreed timelines.
  • Alert senior management of any potential cost control deficiencies or revenue leakages through the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
Budget, Business Plan and Reforecast
  • Assist the Director ?Finance during the Group annual budgeting process and reforecast exercises.
  • Prepare the assigned BU?s budget and 5-year business plan.
Finance Operations
  • Manage the complete accounting function for assigned BU: accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, intercompany/related parties reconciliations, cash management, etc.
  • Review of operator TB?s and upload of the same to Oracle
Accounting and Reporting Software/ERP
  • Manage the accounting and reporting system implementation projects, if any.
  • Ensure smooth running of the accounting and reporting systems.
  • Review and update segregation of duties as and when needed.
  • Recommend automation of processes through the system in order to ensure better controls and have a better usage of resources.
  • Perform any other task assigned from time to time.
