Job Description

Job PurposeTo support the management of Operational Risks and support the Bank in understanding the?quality of its Control Environment.Particular emphasis for this role is with technology based controls.?Key Accountabilities

  • Engage the Business through Control Owners to document control processes.
  • Capture control processes in Control ?Design Effectiveness? scripts.
  • Obtain confirmation of the completeness and accuracy of the Design Effectiveness Script.
  • Obtain evidence from the Control Owner to complete Design Effectiveness Testing in line with the Bank?s Controls Assurance Process.
  • Conduct Design Effectiveness testing and capture evidence on the test scripts.
  • Obtain and act on feedback provided by Operational Risk and Internal Control after its challenge?process.
  • Where required, conduct Operating Effectiveness testing using the scripts and methodology required by the Bank?s Operational Risk Management Framework and Processes.
?Other AccountabilitiesJob ContextA general commentary of any aspects of the job that do not fit logically in the other sections e.g.?current projects, operating context/environment.The jobholder is expected to undertake ad-hoc projects on risk management as and when required by Senior Management.Frameworks, Boundaries & Decision Making AuthorityDefine the nature of policy/procedure/instruction constraints and the nature of reportingrelationships with the boss as well as any relevant financial sign-off authorities.Policies : Operational Risk Policy and other Risk Policies.
