The Manager, Broadcast Technical will be part of the Media Operations team that is responsible for planning and delivering all media facilities and services required for accredited media attending the Expo, and specifically, the broadcast operations: The Host Broadcaster scope requires the delivery of the overall broadcast plan, attracting and ensuring delivery to all accredited broadcasters both working on site and taking content for delivery remotely.The main responsibilites of the role include:- Oversee multiple technical initiatives focused on deploying the Expo 2020 Host Broadcaster operation;?- Assist Senior Manager, Broadcast Technical to oversee the delivery of the overall architecture of the broadcast plan, from the power requirements to all the technology required to construct studio and transmission systems;?- Engage with all engineering aspects of the broadcast deployment, including design, procurement, build, integration and generation of support documentation. This will include interaction between the Host Broadcaster, Expo and all other resources required to complete the job. Together with the Senior Manager, Broadcast Technical this role will work with the Host Broadcaster and Broadcasters to ensure the proper provision of the required technical infrastructure;?- Assist Senior Manager Broadcast Technology to oversee the implementation of all Host Broadcast/video systems including cameras, switchers, routers, audio/video processing equipment, consoles and intercom systems as well as knowledge and experience of broadcast-based IT technologies and workflows such as data routers, switches, servers and security protocols;?- Manage the facilitation needs of all broadcast media on-site to make sure their technology requirements are met;?- Jointly develop with the Broadcasters the technical requirements including but not limited to lighting, commentator positions, and camera platforms and technical facilities to ensure that all designs are pragmatic and cost effective for Broadcast Operations to support the oversight of the technical delivery by the Host Broadcaster or technology providers of rate card items;?- Support the day to day relationships with Host Broadcaster and accredited broadcaster personnel at all levels to assist them in their technology planning, when on-site and for all stages throughout their Expo 2020 journey.
