Job Title: Management Accountant??The Knowledge Academy is a globally established and leading provider of training courses. We?re hiring for a proficient, experienced, and self-motivated Management Accountant to support our multifaceted accounting and finance operations, whilst providing accurate and punctual reports to the senior board. The ability to not only conduct, but also translate complex intercompany exchanges, operating profit, and multicurrency revenue data into digestible management accounts is central to this role, in addition to being pivotal in driving the vision of the company through producing forecasts, accurate management accounts, P/L figures, and business improvements.?As a Company with complex international reporting and compliance requirements, the Management Accountant will be expected to support the completion of inter-company transactions, support the Company?s audits by external entities, file VAT/GST returns internationally, support system developments to ensure the company is running at maximal operational capacity and ensure statutory compliance.?The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with excellent post qualified experience gained within Financial Services. The successful candidate must be confident, articulate and be comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders based in the UK and overseas, in addition to liaising with home and overseas auditors and tax advisors. In addition to the described duties and responsibilities the post holder must be prepared to undertake additional duties which may result from changing circumstances, and be demanding on their operating capacity and require excellent prioritisation skills.Significant commitment to the Company and willingness to participate in business improvement practices are expected and are mandatory for the successful candidate.Key Skills and Qualities:Excellent Communication Skills mandatory ? communicating with both the board, financial controller, junior finance staff, and non-finance staffSelf-motivated with capability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines, and use initiative while remaining focussed on core business objectivesExcellent Prioritisation SkillsTechnically up-to-date with detailed knowledge of International Financial Reporting StandardsSolid technical accounting and tax skills and knowledge, with experience of exposure to consolidation and international accounting environmentsStrong work ethic and attention to detailStructured and organised in their approach, and analytical in their thinkingEffective working knowledge of Excel, and MS office suiteGood professional persona with experience of liaising with auditors and compliance authoritiesKnowledge of Microsoft Navision Dynamics or other ERP is an advantageResponsibilitiesDelivery of monthly reporting pack to include KPI?s, sales stats and financial commentary,Management of Month end Reporting ProcessPreparation and Reconciliation of month end Balance Sheet accountsGroup ConsolidationSupervise Accounts Payable ProcessesVAT Returns for group companies, answering international VAT queries both internally and externallyProduction of Management InformationProduction of KPIsProduction of Forecasts and BudgetsCash Flow ReportingIntercompany AccountingAssist with audit process and preparation of all annual statutory accountsRecurring journal entriesManage and prepare accruals and prepayments, ensuring that reconciliations are in place and transactions are processed in the correct periods to facilitate correct accounting treatment
