The position reports to the Service Manager and is based in the WEG Middle East office in JAFZA, Dubai UAE.RESPONSIBILITIESReceive, analyze, and answer all customers? requests, questions, and clarifications regarding after sales services and spare parts including initial site inspectionPerform installation, repair, maintenance, general site service, start-up/commissioning, troubleshooting of Turbo Generators & HV Motors, including LV MotorsMachinery diagnostics based upon measured vibration and operational data, and the knowledge of rotating machinery using electrical and mechanical trouble shooting skillsVisit and coordinate with customers, offering Long Term Service Agreement / Annual Maintenance ContractVisit customers identifying opportunities, future businesses including sales of WEG Motor ScanPerform vibration analysis, alignment, thermographic survey, machinery failure analysis, single and multiplane field balance corrections on various types of industrial machinery as requiredDeliver training courses such as vibration analysis, bearing analysis and balancing as requiredUnderstand contractual obligations and subsequent terms and conditionsPerform other such duties as may be requiredPrepare technical reports and action planContact and coordinate with WEG Service Partners and Factory After Sales / Service Department to analyze the breakdowns of products, determine root cause and to take the preventive actions accordingly.Liaison with parent company & other branch offices in order to maximise WEG scope on projects.Liaise with the After Sales Service Department in Brazil / Portugal / India / China and US concerning all spares and service related issues in the region.Evaluate and analyze incoming warranty claimsFollow up the repairing processes in WEG?s Service PartnersONGOING DUTIESú Participation in market sector based sales projects as directed by the Service Managerú Develop good customer relationships through excellent customer service.ú Preparation ofú Make significant contribution to after sales team by supporting colleagues commercially & technically.ú Work closely with all after sales staff to maximise all opportunities including meetings in support of the business objectives.ú Maximise the synergies between WEG products.QUALIFICATIONS / DESIRED CHARACTERISTICSBachelor?s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or universityTechnical experience on rotating machinery, Motors, Turbo Generators and TransformersSKILLSú Commercial understanding.ú Sound technical basis in Power Engineering / fault finding and site work.ú Be able to work under pressure and to deadlines.ú To be self motivated and to be able to use own initiative.ú To be willing to take ownership of projects.ú Good at working with detail and being able to see the big picture.ú An effective communicator - both orally and in writing.ú Knowledge of Microsoft Office.ú Have a friendly disposition and be able to build good relationships both internally with colleagues (team player) and externally with customers.ú A passion for customer service.
