As a Mechanical Seal - Machinist, will be responsible for manufacturing mechanical seal components as per parts drawing. Also perform different operation in workshop such as cutting, turning, milling and drilling operation as per requirement. Perform back-up for Seal assembly as and when required. Also Support other operations in shop floor.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Responsibilities for maintaining safe workplace and comply with Flowserve applicable safety, Health and Environment standards, Policy, rules and procedures.- Report safety incidents, unsafe working conditions and/or potential hazards.- Ensure proper housekeeping is done within designated workstation and use tools and equipment safely.- Requires the ability to use hand tools which may include various wrenches (manual, electrical or pneumatic), torque wrenches etc.- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and follow all safety requirements.- Complete daily production and seal specification logs as required by supervisor.- Perform and Document preventive maintenance on production line machinery.- Communicate with operators from other shift.- Clean and maintain work area, turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.- Participate and Contribute to process improvements activities within the facility.- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.Competencies:To be successful in the role, the employee should be able to demonstrate the following competencies:Knowledge- Knowledge about machining process- Good understanding of machining components drawings.- Prior experience in machining process.Skills / Abilities- Ability to work in a matrix organization with multicultural background.- Excellent interpersonal, communication and team person skills.Attitude / Behaviors- Be job focused and firm follower of continuous improvement processes.- Commitment to continuous improvement in Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment (QHSE).Position RequirementsPosition Qualification:Education and Experience:- Industrial Training Institute Certificate from recognized institute in Machinist or Millwright mechanic or equivalent with minimum 3-year experience in relevant field.- Communication: Should read, write and speak english, and interpersonal skills.- Certificates/Licenses: Industrial Training Institute Certificate from recognized institute in Machinist or Millwright mechanic or equivalent
