Legal CounselAs Legal Counsel, you will provide expert legal guidance on matters related to VARA regulations, UAE legal frameworks, and the virtual assets market. You will ensure compliance with local laws and global standards, mitigate legal risks, and support the organization in navigating complex regulatory landscapes in the UAE, particularly in the fintech, crypto, and virtual asset sectors.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Compliance, Risk Management, and Business Development, to align legal strategies with business objectives. This role is critical to maintaining compliance with VARA guidelines and positioning the company as a trusted entity in the UAEs virtual asset ecosystem.Key Responsibilities:˙˙˙˙˙˙˙Ensure adherence to VARA regulations and guidelines for virtual assets.˙˙˙˙˙˙˙Advise on compliance with UAE federal and local laws, including DIFC and ADGM regulations.˙˙˙˙˙˙˙Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely updates to internal policies and processes.˙˙˙˙˙˙˙Provide legal advice on contracts, business operations, and risk mitigation.˙˙˙˙˙˙˙Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including partnership, vendor, and client contracts.˙˙˙˙˙˙˙Assist in resolving disputes and managing litigation cases as necessary.˙˙˙˙˙˙˙Develop and implement legal policies and frameworks to support business objectives.˙˙˙˙˙˙˙Guide the organization in structuring legal solutions that comply with UAE laws and international standards.˙˙˙˙˙˙˙Liaise with VARA and other regulatory bodies on licensing and reporting requirements.˙˙˙˙˙˙˙Represent the organization in legal forums and discussions with external stakeholders.˙˙˙˙˙˙˙Conduct legal risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation.˙˙˙˙˙˙˙Educate internal teams on legal and regulatory obligations, particularly regarding virtual assets and fintech operations.
