Purpose: Support the company's adherence to country law and the timely submission of legal and documents required by government entities. Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities: ? Provide expert and strategic legal advice to management ? Maintain up to date knowledge and experience of international banking environments, including drafting and negotiating contracts ? Prepare legal agreements, contracts, statements for the company. ? Provide timely reports to the Management on company legal activities. ? Assist the Group entities in all legal and compliance matters in their respective jurisdiction ? Assist in legal matters pertaining to new initiatives of the Group in new jurisdiction (licensing, compliance and disclosures) ? Ensure compliance with the internal controls, statutory regulations and other formalities ? Calculate and handle risks in business process and decision making ? Direct acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions. ? Create associations of trust and respect with key stakeholders ? Perform other duties as required by the Management. ? Handle litigation ? Keeping up with current changes on all relevant areas of laws and contributing to the enhancement of the knowledge base of the company's legal function ? Ensure that standards of quality and quantity of work are met and support the achievement of company strategic goals and objectives.
