Job Description

The company is a leading food and beverage company in the UAE. They are a provider of high quality and trusted brands and products for consumers across the Middle East. This position will lead the L&D & Engagement function, working with all stakeholders to identify learning & development needs, develop solutions to ensure the transformational needs are effectively addressed and all employees are engaged in company culture.RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic:

  • Works with the HR Managers, Department Heads and their respective businesses to act as a resource for learning & development programs aligned with business strategy to address individual and group developmental needs.
  • Create learning and development strategy and develop a tactical plan for implementation.
  • Areas of focus include: Leadership Development, Management Development, Next Generation Leader learning & development, Personal Professional Development, Change management.
Planning:
  • Develop programs and practices to address professional development needs, including increasing effectiveness in present assignments and preparing employees for advanced positions.
  • Determine costs/benefits and make recommendations to address L & D needs.
  • Maintain current with knowledge about externally available approaches to Organizational Development activities and programs
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the HR Managers and Department Heads across the organization, to be aware of potential learning & development needs
  • Prepare and propose the annual L & D budget based on anticipated needs and approved talent development strategy.
  • Prepare and propose the annual Engagement activities budget for the Group.
Operational:
  • Responsible for the design and delivery of learning & development programs, whether purchased from outside vendors or developed in-house.
  • Implement learning & development solutions, as appropriate, that will develop the skills and knowledge necessary to perform current jobs effectively and meet workplace demands.
  • Organize and develop learning & development manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials
  • Participate in suggestions for improving the content and course flow of learning & development.
