*Working with the General Manager - UAE and Market Leader (Infrastructure), this Middle East role will focus on developing business opportunities, building, and strengthening our strategic transportation business; through the delivery of projects, technical leadership, coaching and mentoring our people whilst offering innovative solutions for our internal, existing and new clients across the local government and private sectors.The role entails;?Strategic advice on intelligent transport systems.?Lead transport strategy development.?Overseeing transport planning studies.?Develop unique solutions and demonstrate key project benefits.?Develop strong client relationships adding value for our clients, and enhancing existing client relationships.?Provide technical expertise; develop project team members, graduates and other professionals.?Support an innovative and problem solving approach to consultancy, adding value for our clients and developing strong client relationships.?Support wider business development initiatives and raise the profile of GHD through high standards of project delivery, thought leadership and client networking.?Collaborate and build relationships with other GHD offices and teams.What you will bring to the team:?Degree Qualification in a related discipline such as Engineering, Planning, or Business.?15 plus years of professional experience in transportation projects with a minimum of 5 years in a consultancy background.?Proven analytical skills, including market analysis skills as well as proven problem solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex issues relating to technology.?Strong knowledge of public and private sector.?Experience in other aspects of transport planning, such as accessibility studies, light rail schemes, highway modelling, interchange studies, parking studies, freight studies, airport studies, traffic engineering and development planning.?Familiarity with transport industry tools and datasets.?Commercially aware, with the ability to build excellent client relationships.?Excellent inter-personal and communication skills (oral and written).?Pro-active and self-motivated, with the desire to make a valuable contribution.?Collaborative and adaptable team player.?
